CHANGELOG
What changed on the egg, newest first. Built by one person, in the open; the code follows in a few weeks.

THE GHOST HAND
- ›On the egg every tap counts one, from now on. Power weighs your taps in the hour's ranking (×2, ×3, ...) and no longer on the counter; the ghost hand keeps your line moving and never touches the egg. Nothing that can be bought changes whose tap lands on the number: that is decided by hands alone.
- ›Today's gift: every account can take one level and one ghost hour a day, free, in the Power panel. Everything the game sells is also given away; buying is for people who do not want to wait.
- ›Two more tells for the slow lane, found by the lane itself: twelve thousand taps in twenty minutes without a two-second breath, and forty thousand in two hours without a minute away. A hand breathes; a clicker does not, however random its rhythm.
- ›Colours: for $1.99, once, the hue of your dot and your name is yours to pick, on every device signed in on the account. Supporter: for $4.99 your name goes under the sponsor in the footer while the egg stands, and on the round's page for good. The shout comes in an hour for $2.99. At night, a signed-in person without a ghost is told once that the first hour is free. None of it touches the egg.
- ›Reserved names: signed in, the name you pick is yours. Nobody else can wear it, nor a lookalike ("him.", "HIM", "him 🥚"), it shows a ✓ next to it, and anyone who had it goes back to their pseudonym. One per account; picking another releases the first. A shout cannot carry a link.
- ›Guess the number: under the counter, a whole number in the announced range, free, one per person, the last one counts. Everyone's guesses are public, lowest first, one tap away; never ranked before the break, since the number is secret. At the break the closest names go on the round's page with how far off they were. Bragging rights only, no prize.
- ›The egg board shows clicks per second too, like the hour's. The chat has been archived line by line since the 5th, so a round can be read back.
- ›The shout: for $0.99, a few words rise from your dot on the egg on every one of your taps, for ten minutes, for everyone to read. Cosmetic, moderated like a name. Under the counter, the gift now says what it is worth at least.
- ›Two boards for the top hands: "last 60 min", the race, and "this egg", the trace since the egg went up, frozen at the break and carved on the round's page with the hand that carried it first. The egg's board starts from this deploy; the hour before it was kept only as an hour. No prize is ever attached to a ranking.
- ›The paperwork: a legal notice, terms of sale, and the rules as a dated règlement in French, linked from the footer. The rules now say who runs the game, that no purchase is necessary, that prizes and purchases are for people 18 or over or with a parent's agreement, and what a prize is worth at least. The "could be a MacBook" line under the counter is gone.
- ›Leave a ghost hand when you go: for the hours you buy, it taps for you, one tap every two seconds, with your Power, under your name. Hollow dot on the egg, 👻 by your name, the time left next to it.
- ›Every icon now explains itself when hovered or tapped: the snail, the ghost, the Power bolt, the tapping dot, and the dots around the egg. A ghost's bubble says how long it has left and whether it is tapping or resting behind its person's own hand.
- ›Ghosts do not tap in one beat any more: each has its own moment in the two seconds. A little 👻 rises from the dot on every ghost tap.
- ›One person, one line: an account signed in on several devices or cookies is a single line of the hour, a single dot on the ring, a single rank.
- ›The dots around the egg keep apart from each other, and the ring follows the shell at the bottom.
- ›Sharing carries your invite link from the first second of a visit. The 👻 sits on every chat line of a person with a ghost, and is in the emoji bar.
- ›The chat box no longer zooms the page on a phone.
- ›Asked in the chat, done: the flag next to each name in the top list, and the time on every chat line.
- ›The page paces taps at the same twelve a second the server accepts (it held them to eight): a fast two-thumb burst no longer stalls for a moment and breaks the streak.
- ›On a phone, the chase: the three hands just ahead of you and your own line sit right under the counter, moving as you tap, with the gap to the hand in front. The ceiling and the gift line move below the Power button. Nothing goes between the egg and the chase from now on.
- ›The top list says "last 60 min": it is a rolling window, minute by minute, not a reset on the hour. Your own line reads the list, so the two numbers agree.
- ›The Power button says what it sells: "tap ×2 · first level free", then "×4 · next level ×5 · $1.99". Under it, one line for the moment: at night the ghost hand, before your first level what ×2 would have made of your clicks, otherwise how many hands ahead of you have Power.
- ›Levels add, they do not multiply: the packs now say the multiplier you would end up with. The hour rolls minute by minute instead of in five-minute steps, so a heavy hand no longer loses thousands of clicks at once.
- ›Your name can be changed right above the chat box, where it is used: "you write as sly muffin 38 · pick a name". The line by the top list stays, with a pencil so it reads as something you can tap.
- ›A fast hand is no longer slowed: a thousand taps in five minutes at a human evenness marks the win for review instead of a slow lane. Three phone players had been slowed by that line in one morning; the slow lane is for machine cadences only.
- ›Nations: every click carries the flag of the country it came from. A strip above the top hands shows who is carrying the egg this hour and on this egg, your own flag picked out; the share button turns into a provocation to your country when another one leads.
- ›A /nations page: the hour, the egg and the last days per country. A link shared from a country unfurls as that country's board, with the gap to the leader on the card.
- ›Under the counter: it breaks before 10,000,000. The odds sentence that was there for an hour is gone.
- ›The ghost hand now starts at one hour for $1.99, and a third cadence tell catches a metronome that skips a beat.
- ›Pick the hours with a slider, one hour to a week, the price beside it. An account is needed: the ghost taps while you are away, so if it breaks the egg, the email is how you are told.
- ›One hand per person: the ghost goes quiet while you tap yourself, and picks up ten seconds after your last tap. The hours run only while an egg stands; if somebody else breaks it, what is left waits for the next one.
- ›A win now finds its person on any device signed in on the account, and by email, so a closed tab or a dead phone loses nobody their egg.
- ›The slow lane follows the account too: a fresh cookie that signs back in for its Power is still slowed.
- ›The room reads "was slowed down for suspected cheating" instead of a line about limits.

THE LIVE, RETHOUGHT
- ›The scrolling feed is gone. Who is tapping is now a ring of dots around the egg, one per hand, pulsing with each click, sized by Power, snail-grey in the slow lane.
- ›Your own clicks per second, under the room's meter and on your line of the top list. The top list shows twenty hands, five at a time, with each hand's pace.
- ›Chat: the emoji tray folds after a message (and after one emoji on a phone), and typed smileys like :) :D ;) <3 show as faces.
- ›The tap cap is 12 a second (was 8), and going over it is now a quiet note in the margin, not a yellow warning. A slow lane is not for sale, and it no longer spreads by IP address: a forum behind one mobile carrier was inheriting one script's lane.
- ›New cadence tells: 7% variation instead of 25%, checked on the last 400 taps continuously; a "random delay between a and b" macro is caught by its shape; tapping thousands of times without a single pause marks a win for review instead of slowing anyone.
- ›The hour's top list survives a deploy.
- ›Top hands · this hour: five fixed rows, a bar behind each in the player's colour that glides as the numbers move, and your own rank under them. Resets when the game restarts.
- ›The hands and the hour arrive with the page, not with your first tap; when the taps stop, the dots go out and the bars settle.
- ›Moments (a Power purchase, a snail, a milestone) flash over the egg for a few seconds and stay as a grey line in the chat.
- ›The chat takes the whole column; emoji behind one key; the legend is gone (hover the marks).
- ›New pseudonyms: 120 adjectives, 120 nouns, a two-digit number. "sly muffin 38" and "stormy cookie 28" no longer look like the same person.
- ›Every voice in the chat has its own colour, from its name.
- ›A phone on a bad connection is no longer mistaken for a script: a tap is refused only on the cadence's own evidence.
- ›The steady-cadence rule now needs 400 taps in a row under 25% variation, not 200. Fast, steady hands were tripping it.
- ›The slow lane follows the connection: a new cookie does not shed it.
- ›Your chosen name survives a lost cookie (X's in-app browser drops them every time).
- ›Invite a friend: +1 Power when someone who came through your link buys their first pack.
- ›Put the egg on your site: a live badge and a widget, on the Stats page.
- ›Share the moment when the crack reaches a new stage.
- ›The screen no longer jumps on a phone while you tap.
- ›The links at the bottom of the side column stay in sight on a desktop.
- ›This page.

THE ROOM FILLS UP
- ›Chat, with @mentions, an emoji bar, and a dot for whoever was tapping when they wrote.
- ›Powered taps are visible to everyone: lightning where they land, and their own lane in the feed.
- ›Cheaters are not banned. They get the slow lane: half a tap a second, Power paused, a snail next to their name, and the lane doubles each time.
- ›Open tabs reload themselves after a deploy. Nine deploys, no click lost.
- ›The egg opens for everyone when it breaks, and stays open with the gift on show until the next round is started by hand.
- ›The winner gets a claim code, kept only as a hash on our side.
- ›Live numbers: the Stats page, hourly and daily.
- ›A rebuilt Sponsor page.
- ›Power at $1.99, $7.99 and $19.99. Power funds no prize: it changes your taps, not what is inside.

ONE EGG, 22:35 PARIS
- ›The egg goes up. Free, no account, one tap at a time. It breaks somewhere between one and ten million.
